Andover The first community in Henry County, Andover was founded in 1835 by Rev. Ithamar Pillsbury, a Presbyterian Minister. It was patterned after New Haven, Connecticut as a seat of learning, religion and commerce. The town is full of Swedish history and is home to the famous Jenny Lind Chapel, where some of the first Lutherans in America landed.
